Sailing the Highway

This is really one of the world's coolest bridges...the Millau Bridge in the south of France has mast pylons which are taller than the Eiffel tower.  One of world's largest cable suspension bridges it crosses the Tarn River spanning Causse du Larzac and the Causse Rouge, and is inside the perimeter of the Grands Causses Regional Natural Park.

Interestingly, not long after it opened the speed limit was reduced from around 80 mph to about 68 mph because so many cars were stopping to take pictures and take in the amazing views.  Driving across you feel as if on a huge sailboat crossing a large, terrestrial sea.
